Atlas Shrugged without zee edge

Back in the 80’s, Piat d’Or wine had an advertisement that resonated with me. A beautiful, French woman said something about “… without zee age”. I thought she said “without zee edge”. I thought about that ad when I considered how to respond to folks who asked what Tunnel Vision’s about.
Ayn Rand wrote several books. I read Atlas Shrugged when I was in my twenties. I liked her philosophy. As I’ve aged, I’ve decided that Ayn Rand’s philosophy is too strident. I think Tunnel Vision is considerate of a range of philosophies while encouraging individual responsibility and relying upon human nature. I wanted to say, “Tunnel Vision is Atlas Shrugged without zee edge!” As John F Kennedy might have said, “Ask not who is John Galt, ask who is Brett Larson.”
There’re humorous aspects to my rejoinder: I don’t remember the actress’ name, I thought she said “edge” when she apparently said “age”, and I shouldn’t be put anywhere near Ayn Rand’s stature. Tunnel Vision does involve an epic project with daunting challenges; even by Atlas Shrugged standards.
You’re invited to acquire a copy of Tunnel Vision and enjoy the journey through Canada’s north and encounter struggles with rights of way, native issues, education, funding, culture conflict, murder, big government, and stop signs. Brett Larson, and his band, embark on a heart-warming adventure. I hope you’ll wonder what’s achievable and how each of us can become more engaged villagers.
